The World Health Organisation (WHO) have released the first World Report on Hearing which has found that 1 in 4 people will have some degree of a hearing loss by 2050.
The report also states that:
‘in adults, noise control, safe listening, and surveillance of ototoxic medicines together with good ear hygiene, can help maintain good hearing and reduce the potential for hearing loss’.
